About Niseko

Niseko is known internationally by ski and snowboard enthusiasts as one of the greatest powder playgrounds in the world.

It's proximity to storms coming over the Japan Sea from the Siberian peninsula and the location of the volcanic Mt. Yotei to stop the storms long enough to dump lots of fresh snow regularly result in an average annual snowfall of 15 meters.

That is 1.7 times the annual snowfall of Aspen, Colorado. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, other popular winter activities include snowshoe hiking, snowmobiling and bathing in many of the hot springs in the area. Our staff will be happy to assist you in pursuing these activities.

Niseko Annupuri is not just a winter resort. Many vacationers come to Niseko in the summer to relax and enjoy white-water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, hot springs and paragliding, as well as the renowned local cuisine.
