About

One of the best-kept secrets in the Niseko area, Annupuri is nestled on the western side of the massive Niseko United ski fields on Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan.

Despite being part of Niseko mountain and connected to all areas at the top, its designation as a quasi-national park means that aside from a scattering of privately-owned ski chalets and a handful of small Japanese lodges, the area is relatively pristine and undeveloped.  And as such Annupuri has been off the radar of most visiting skiers and boarders.  In contrast to the almost metropolitan environment of nearby Hirafu, with its high-rises, congested streets and all-night carousing, Annupuri is what you think of when you think of powder skiing paradises at their best: beautiful natural scenery and lots of fresh deep powder, with close access to the mountain.  Annupuri remains the last bastion of perfect uncrowded deep powder snow in Niseko.

Despite it’s low-key nature, Annupuri is equipped with a great system of gondolas and covered chairs and boasts amazing night riding as well. Our lodge is located seconds from the high-speed gondola.  The resort we are based in is the gateway to Japan's best back-country and home to the world's deepest powder snow. The low-key location and rural surroundings provide a true Japanese experience and a snow adventure second to none.
